BCH is dedicated on making a difference in the quality of life and supports for underserved members of our community as well as people who have developmental disabilities and other varying levels of needs, including significant behavioral, medical, physical and mental challenges.

Bailey Care Homes goes above and beyond residential services to offer a three-pronged approach and quality support to all of our individuals we serve.
​
BCH partners with a Registered Nurse who is on call 24/7 and assists with medical needs, and we offer Administrators at each home that creates individual support plans at our homes.
Get to Know Us
Homes are equipped with ramps, wide doorways and round-the-clock staff. Residents are clients of the Regional Center and meet their criteria for services.
​
In-home services include occupational therapy, recreational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy and psychology/psychiatric services.
Day Program and In-house Activities
All consumers attend Day Program Monday through Friday, each Day Program provides individualized teachings to assist and encourage the consumer to be an active member of society.

Upon returning home from Day Program, the staff encourage the consumer to continue their education with arts and crafts, music therapy, walks within the community, shopping and assisting with chores and meal prep and cooking.
​
Bailey Care Homes’ are designed to provide the opportunity for each consumer to live their best life and be active participant in their care.

About BCH Staff
Our staff are classified as either a Direct Support Professionals (DSP) or a Direct Care Staff (DCS) who provide services to adults with developmental disabilities.

As a staff member of Bailey Care Homes, Inc. (BCH) who is the trusted resource for people with developmental disabilities where they can grow, thrive, and shine.
Our mission is to help our consumers live happy, healthy, and fulfilling lives. Depending on the needs of the consumers, we aid with living skills development, healthy maintenance, and medication administration, personal care, and behavioral development.

A Support Staff can work in several settings including, Group Homes (small residential homes that serve 2-5 people), Day Programs (living skills and pre-employment training), Home and Community Based Services (in-home care and supports), and Vocational Rehabilitation (job skill training and job placement). Working under the direction of a House Manager, Support Staff work to provide services that enrich the lives of our consumers. An emphasis is placed on creating a family like environment that encourages the consumers to experience a full life.
Support Staff assist the consumers in participating in traditional daily and weekly activities such as shopping at the grocery store, going to the movies, enjoying hobbies, etc. Support Staff also advocate for consumers to be fully integrated into the community life.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
​
Providing our consumers with the highest quality of care and services is our mission. BCH, has an uncompromising commitment to quality and integrity; employees are expected to perform their duties and responsibilities to our high standard of quality.

Advocacy – Assist consumers with achieving personal goals; works on behalf of the consumers to overcome barriers; helps consumers participate in activities of their choice; respects consumer’s personal beliefs; choices and interests.

Health Maintenance – Provides care and assistance to promote good health; helps consumers receive medical care and communicates with medical professionals; administers medications according to physician instructions; records information regarding health events, conditions, and status; provides First Aid/CPR and seeks emergency medical care when needed.

Personal Care – Helps consumers with eating, grooming, dressing, bathing, and toileting; assists consumers with their mobility including lifting them from seated and/or lying down position, helping them to walk and maintain stability.

Living Skills Development – Helps consumers develop living skills such as cooking, money management; household shopping; doing laundry; personal hygiene, etc.; teaches work-related skills.
